Note Cards

Your success in this course lies heavily in the ability to retain a vast amount of information over roughly 2oo years of United States History. In order to meet that daunting task, completion of quarterly note cards will be required in APUSH. The theory is that you will regularly fill out these cards as you read and take notes, ultimately helping with repetition. As we approach the final weeks leading up to the AP Exam in May, you will have a large collection of note cards from which you can study. The purpose of this year long assignment is not simply to earn points, it is to develop an extensive library of information to help you study throughout the year.

That said,  each completed set of cards is worth 50 summative points. If 10% of cards are missing, 10% will be deducted from your score. 15% missing, 15% will be deducted .  Yada yada yada. The card numbers come directly from apstudent.com on the "helpful links" page of the website.

1. Note cards must be hand written

2. Note cards must be numbered in the upper corner of the front side according to apstudent.com.

3. Note cards must be bound by a rubber band/clip in multiples of 50 upon turn in, and placed in a bag with your name on it.

10% will be deducted from final score for failure to comply with each of the above guidelines

(total of 30%).
